- Mexicoffeecake, The first time we ever brewed Smeerolie Mexicake was in 2018. Pim, being a fan of everything spicy, got inspired by a Mexican treat called the Mexicake. With one of our base beers Smeerolie we created a new sensation: Smeerolie Mexicake! An imperial stout with loads of Chipotle, Cinnamon, Cacao nibs and Vanilla. A buena mezcla of sweetness and spiciness that became a favorite among our fans too. In 2020 we brought this beer back. But we missed this beer already. We missed it so much that we had to bring it back to you guys in 2022. Then, as you can imagine, someone in the brew team (clearly it was Rob) said: What about we added some coffee to this beer? And we did. The result on that, you’ll discover in this beer!
