- Blackcyl, Plato 16.5° Hops: Columbus, Cascade, Simcoe As in each and every IPA, in this one too, great American hops play the leading role by bringing aromas of resin, pine, citrus and herbs that are subtly complemented with a hint of chocolate stemming from the dark malts. It's dry with solid but unimposing bitterness. Our goal here was to brew a hop-forwarded IPA without ashy and burnt tones. We wanted this beer to remain IPA with just being...black. Check it out if we succeeded.
