- MurpHill, Take a good thing and make it even better - that is the philosophy behind the Amager MurpHill. The good thing is our more than solid Amager Rugporter (Rye Porter), which we have aged in bourbon casks. Here it has been around 6 months, which has turned an already soft rye porter with pleasant hints of vanilla, wood, and of course warm bourbon. If you wonder about the name, we can reveal that this beer is named after two of the most talented American brewers Shaun Hill and Mike Murphy, who with their presence in this country has enriched Danish brewing culture in incredible degree. Shaun and Mike are the masterminds behind our Rye Porter / MurpHill project, and it is with absolute pride that this beer is named in their honor.
