- Meabh Rua Bourbon Aged, Meabh (pronounced Mave) was the infamous Irish queen of Connacht, known as the Goddess of Intoxication. She was a legendary leader, and lover of men. Her ability to woo was like spell or a potion. Her name in old Irish literally translates as “Ale”. Description: For this Special Edition of our Imperial Red Ale, we have chosen 12 year Bourbon barrels from multiple distilleries to add additional depth and complexity to an already complex beer. Tasting Notes: Expect layers of honey, vanilla, toffee and caramel, followed by a soft bourbon and oak finish. Ingredients: Water, barley, hops & yeast.
