He has a panama-type cap on his head, in the margins of which a red cochineal is nestled like a curious mouse. On his glossy nose he wore horn-rimmed glasses, so that he could better see a leopard in the bushes or a Gabonese viper on the branches of a monster. And in his hand he holds a magnifying glass with a powerful lens, through which even the most microscopic ant, or, pardon me, a mosquito can be conveniently looked through. In the starless black sky gigantic swallows flutter greasily, and on the viviparous ground exotic flowers languish in slumber: yellow hibiscus and albino lion's-throat. A carnivorous dewdrop gnaws at the stalk of an azure liana, in whose branches the Marabou stork owes its phlegmatic queen. The citizen confidently strides, panting, grunting, sweating, perspiring... He hurries to meet the flora and fauna, impatient to know their beauty and mysteries. What drives him? What unknown voice commands his heart to go forward? The answer is simple: The Call of the Jungle.
